November 4-8
No school for Election Day, Tuesday, November 5!
This week students will be working on a project to show what they know about ecosystems, and demonstrate the academic vocabulary words they have learned such as interrelated, biotic, abiotic, predators, symbiotic. It is important that students stay up to date by using their class time well, and finishing at home parts they don't complete in class. The final project is due on Friday, November 8. A copy of the assignment sheet is above.
October 28-November 1
This week we are working on writing comparisons. Students will create Venn Diagrams to identify similarities and differences, between two different animals, focusing on how the animals interact with their ecosystems.

October 14-18
This week we are previewing vocabulary and concepts to support the 7th Grade Science standards.
October 7-October 11
This week we will be focusing on strategies to improve writing and speaking skills. We will focus on correct grammar, advanced vocabulary and good organization, especially, in our writing.
September 30-October 4
We are coming to the end of our Unit on Cells. On Thursday 10/3 we will have a Test on the information we read in our Summit K12 books.

This week we are working on evidence based writing. In class students have read and discussed 3 short readings, and are writing a short essay to answer the question; "What can schools do to stop bullying?" Students who do not finish this writing in class will need to finish it for homework. We are also starting our first Summit K12 unit on Cells, which builds reading skills and also reinforces 7th grade science standards.
August 7, 2019
This week we are working on vocabulary building work. Students are working on alphabet books with grade level vocabulary. This assignment is due on Monday, August 12.
